The Perfect Fit

Lionel works best in large indoor areas, ideally with limited clutter and dirt. As a reference point, Lionel’s minimum work area is 7m x 7m (23’ x 23’) making it suited to large projects with large marking quantities. Although Lionel is ruggedized and capable of managing small hazards, Lionel works best in dry conditions and without clutter.

However with its incredible obstacle navigation capabilities, Lionel is able to operate on both greenfield project and brownfield or retrofit projects too. With in-built workflow management, Lionel can also work around contractors on-site and be instructed to prioritise marking in specific areas of a site.

Data Center Layout

Lionel is especially suited to marking data center layout, covering the entire scope of facilities, services and structures that need to be built. Lionel's flexible point-point marking technology allows it to autonomously mark the entire data center layout, or specific sections including (but not limited to):

• Data hall layout (server racks, HVAC and power distribution systems)
• Grey space layout (Switch gear, UPS, transformers, chillers and generators)
• Structured cabling systems and MEP hangers (network cabling, building services and LV power)

With its flexible marking system and numerous marking color options, Lionel can mark all of the above services to ensure complete or specific scope coverage.

Industrial Fit-out

Lionel has already been fielded on a factory assembly-line integration job and delivered outstanding results. In this particular job, the client requested 4,200+ marks to be created for a new line expansion, over a 12,000 SQM (129,000 SQFT) plant.

Typically a job like this would take 10 days. Lionel delivered the entire layout in just 2 days!

Lionel’s point-to-point marking technology allows it to cover vast areas like this without any hassles. Lionel also uses a proprietary localization system that does not require Total Stations - meaning it can mark around corners and other awkward areas that are common in industrial facilities.

Warehouse/Distribution Center Layout

Warehouses and distribution center layout requires exceptional accuracy and ability to mark tight marking densities. Our latest Lionel models offer an accuracy of 3mm per mark and with its 360 degree mobility, Lionel can manoeuvre precisely to create marks that are extremely close to one another.

This is perfect for marking multiple zones, racking, conveyors and even the infrastructure for advanced technologies used in automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS).
